I've written books since the 1963 SHIRLEY DOLLS AND RELATED DELIGHTS and ALASKETTES. The first modern Shirley Temple club was started by me in 1963, and titled "Fans, Collectors, Friends." I'm about sharing and enjoying. Now I'm working to bring back this sharing newsletter for more FANS, COLLECTORS, FRIENDS including special old photos and information with a lot of help from long-time lover of Shirley JoAnn Janzen. Write for info if you are interested. The second year began with the June 2009 issue with nearly all pictures of Shirley and the year ends with March 2010, but since these are mostly great Shirley photos each year is still available, 4 quarterly issues for $12.25 in the US and now there are plans (and hopes) for year 3 because Shirley and memories of Shirley experiences are still such a part of our lives. This quarterly was started in 1966 and shares primary research on a great many topics from movies, toys, books, special characters and of course all the items related to that topic. A full list is available because with no ads or puff all the information remains valuable and useful.The May 2009 issue is on Louis Wain and his people cats. What a wonder! And there are 8 paper dolls, too. Since then there are issues on The Flintstones and dear Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

I've ALWAYS loved paper dolls and it has been a delight to share both buying and selling with listings frequently updated and available by mail but also sharing reprints of comic strip paper dolls, classic treasures in color reprints, and fun reprints of special Swedish magazine paper dolls and American antiques. Special lists of paper dolls for sale are available from Loraine. The latest includes comic strip paper dolls, available for a long stamped 44 cent envelope and your address.The latest list 52001 has GONE WITH THE WIND, KATY KEENE, ELIZABETH TAYLOR and lots more. I also offer reprints of rare old books to your requests. I'm embarrassed to be so busy that this web site often gets neglected for updates.

I ship by parcel post, carefully wrapped, and you can send your order to me by mail or email. Foreign orders are welcome but need to check with me for air mail printed matter cost. While you may pay for items by Paypal please add 5% to cover its charge to me. (My account there is loraineburdickarchives. Money orders are cheap and fast and if your personal check is on Bank of America it instantly clears for me. I do not accept phone orders because having had polio as a child I have assorted problems including hearing on the phone.
I've been a legal dealer in Wash. state since 1958 and if you are instate please add 9.3% sales tax. Advise me by email if you want a special item held in the old newspapers and magazines of which there would only be one copy. This is not necessary on any of my own publications.
