REPRINT PAPER DOLLS #1

These are reprints to match original colors and shading of treasured paper dolls. All are done on loose sheets to look at and lay out, even frame, and are on high quality paper including covers,  everything full size.  This does include covers as I've not found any cardstock that gives the color match perfection that I want. These reprints are cheap enough to cut and enjoy, but most of all to  whisk you back to  the happy  sweet time  of your  past when  these were  beloved friends. 7. JUDY GARLAND CUT-OUT DOLLS, Whitman publisher, 1941 #980. Covers are reprinted uncut; inside pages were partially cut and I've restored what I could and arranged the rest to fit the same size pages of this very rare book. There are no photos or little drawings from pages and I'm not sure which were there originally. 10 pages $50.

11. GLENN MILLER MARION HUTTON TURNABOUT DOLL BOOK (plus Tex Beneke), Lowe publisher, 1942 #L1041. This book was printed on both sides to turn over the dolls and costumes for a slightly different outfit, perhaps only in color. The uncut book is 16 pages with all pages now printed on one side only, $80. Or reprint of just the first page side of covers and clothes, 8 pages $45. (Neither reprint includes the 2 center pages l/4 size on newsprint with pictures of the stars.)

FLAPPER FANNY LITTLE SISTER AND CHUCK CUT-OUT-BOOK, Whitman publisher,1938 #957; the paper dolls and outfits were carefully re-arranged by me as close as possible to the original but closer together to fit the sheets; you may find it hard to tell; this presentation is copyright 2006 by Loraine Burdick (but not the original designs). 8 pages 11x17" $40.

17. MOVIE STARLETS 5 CUT-OUT DOLLS, Whitman publishing, 1946 #960. The dolls are Gail Russell, Diana Lynn, Olga San Juan, Joan Caulfield and Marjorie Reynolds. 8 pages $40.

18. JUDY GARLAND FASHION PAINT BOOK, Whitman publishing,, 1940 #674 (with 2 paper dolls of her fashion dolls on the back cover and then inside 4 pages of clothes in black and white to be colored.) Total 2 pages in color and 4 pages in black and white. $30.

19. BETTY GRABLE and her trunk, Whitman publishing, 1942 #972. This unusual set had statuette doll alone with small trunk with her clothes printed on sheets as a little book attached to her arm by a silk cord. Trunk pages were very small and outfits had to be rearranged here to give a reprint done without the trunk front. 2 pages 8 1/2 by 14" and one page 11x17". $20.

22. ELAINE STEWART cut-out dolls, Dell publisher, 2 dolls and 36 outfits, cut set; it is so rare I've never located an uncut book. 4 l/2 pages $25.

1. KING OF SWING AND QUEEN OF SONG TURNABOUT DOLL BOOK, published by Lowe in 1942 #L1040. Reprint is full size 13x10.5"  with some adjustments as this is a slightly cut copy of a super rare book.  Both outer covers are uncut and the turnabout or inside reversed sides are also but everything done as one side only to see and to enjoy.  Thus the covers give 4 sheets each with 2 dolls.  Clothes are similarly reprinted to be on one side only but several had an item cut which has been replaced to position, and l page is missing pieces. Total is either 15 pages for  $75.00 or 8 pages of outside covers and 6 pages of clothes $40.00.  Either way, it is a treasure of a great bandleader-clarinetist of the l930's-50's and a wonderful singer.
